Geophysicist highlights lessons for the Pacific Northwest from the Tohoku earthquake
As we come close to the first anniversary of the March 11th 2011 Tohoku earthquake, a geophysicist has told members of the American Association for the Advancement of Science that Tohoku is a grim reminder of the potential for a strong-motion mega-earthquake along the Pacific Northwest coast of the United States.
